*** *** Steem Hop is one of those deceptively simple games that looks like just a dumb little hopping chicken simulator but once you actually get into it you realize how ridiculously addictive and frustrating it can be in the best way possible because the whole point is just to keep moving forward and survive as long as you can but every single tap you make matters and if you mistime even one jump you are dead and sent back to zero and that loop of almost beating your high score and dying is what keeps you glued to your phone for hours even though you keep telling yourself you will stop after one more try. What makes this game so interesting is that it is not just one type of obstacle you have to deal with, you start with the road where you have to dodge cars that are coming left and right and you have to be patient and wait for the right gap but then immediately after that you are thrown into the river section where you have to jump on moving logs and the logs are not even moving at the same speed so you have to calculate your jump and if you land wrong you fall in the water and die and then after that you get the train tracks which are even more stressful because you have trains that come out of nowhere plus those gate guys that block your path and you have to weave around them while also collecting coins. The coin system is what actually makes it even more tricky because you see a coin sitting in a risky spot like between two cars or at the edge of a log and your brain tells you to go for it even though you know it might kill your run and most of the time when I die its because I was being greedy trying to grab a coin that I didn't need, but at the same time you want the coins because they add to your total score and they make you feel like you are actually progressing even when you keep dying early, so you are constantly fighting between playing safe and playing greedy. And the reason why Steem Hop never really gets old is because every run is completely different and randomly generated so you can never memorize the pattern you just have to rely purely on your reflexes and focus, sometimes the game gives you a super clean run where all the logs line up perfectly and the cars give you space and you can just cruise for like 30 points straight, and other times it just spawns the worst possible combination where cars are bumper to bumper and the logs are super spaced out and you have to be incredibly precise, its that randomness plus the simple one tap control that makes it perfect for killing time anywhere whether you are bored at home or waiting for someone and you just want something fast and fun that will still challenge you. *** *** THANKS FOR VISITING ***
